The big Liverpool vs. Arsenal game at Anfield showcased two of the strongest teams in the Premier League this season. The game ended 1-1 as Liverpool felt they could have beaten the London side at home. Arsenal struck first, early in the first half, as Gabriel won a header in the Liverpool box to score past Alisson.

Liverpool found the equalizer in the 29th minute courtesy of Mohamed Salah cutting, sitting, and striking the ball in the top right corner with a left-footed shot. After Arsenal looked like the dangerous team at first, Liverpool built momentum from the Salah equalizer and could've scored more in the second half.

Trent Alexander Arnold had a huge chance to give Liverpool the lead in the second half when Liverpool had four of their players running towards the Arsenal net. Salah played Alexander Arnold and the English right-back hit the ball onto the crossbar. The game ended 1-1, and Liverpool felt they lost two valuable points.

Liverpool did manage to go up the table; the Reds sit in first with 45 points in 20 games played. It could have been more since the game included a controversial handball, where the Reds could have gotten a penalty. Before the Liverpool equalizer, Salah took a touch towards the penalty box and as the ball got into the box, Arsenal's Martin Odegaard touched the ball with his arm and prevented a good chance for Liverpool. VAR looked at the play and didn't award Liverpool a penalty.

Referee: Now on. No, his hand's on the floor. His hand's on the floor. Check possible penalty for hand ball.

VAR 1: Just give me your best view. All right, turn around again.

VAR 2: Just going to look for another angle.

VAR 1: Yeah, please. Can you just give me this in full speed? Full speed?

VAR 2: Yeah. I can show you wider from full speed.

VAR 1: Yeah, because he clearly hits his arm. That's not the point I'm looking at. Cool.

VAR 2: Yeah, so this is coming at full speed. Okay, thanks. Okay.

VAR 1: Thanks. Okay. Yeah. For me, Lee, I'm back with live. So he's falling down. He's moving his arms in towards him. So it's check complete for me.

VAR 2: Yeah, from the brief look off seat.

VAR 1: Yeah, agreed. Check complete. Confirming infield decision, no penalty.
