Leny Yoro made his debut with Man United in a friendly match, fans get excited and this is how it went

The preseason for Manchester United is underway as the Premier League is a few weeks away. The club recently announced the signing of Leny Yoro, who is seen as one of the best young defenders in the world. Yoro has lots of potential after shining for the past two seasons at Lille in Ligue 1. The French defender was also interested in joining Real Madrid, and Los Blancos was looking to sign him this summer, but he chose to join Manchester United instead.

After only a few days of being announced as a new Manchester United player, Yoro made his debut in a friendly match against Rangers FC. Yoro started the match while wearing the number 15, which is what he will wear next season. He only played the first half, but he displayed impressive defense skills.

Yoro showcased his strength when the Rangers were on the attack, and the fans were quickly impressed. The 18-year-old center-back used his pace and his strength to stop a potential goal for Rangers against them. Manchester United kept a clean sheet and defeated Rangers 2-0 in Scotland.

Yoro played 45 minutes and had 51 touches on the ball. He played 44/48 successful passes, had two recoveries, and made three passes into the final third. He also had 100% duels won and 100% tackles won. The French defender has already made his mark in the team and may pursue Erik Ten Hag to play him more often in the upcoming Premier League season.

Yoro played alongside Jonny Evans, who will play for Manchester United next season as well. The 36-year-old was the most accurate passed to play more than 45 minutes in the match. He completed 31 out of 31 attempted passes in the match. Evans will likely not be the main center back for Ten Hag next season as Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire will likely be more favored by the Man United manager.

Manchester United's next preseason friendly match

Manchester United has three more friendly matches for their preseason before the Community Shield match against Manchester City on August 10th at Wembley Stadium. Man United will play against Arsenal next weekend on July 27th at SoFi Stadium.

Man United will then take on Real Betis on July 31st at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California. On August 3rd, Manchester United will play against their fiercest rivals, Liverpool, at the Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina.

Marcus Rashford was not playing the friendly match, as Erik Ten Hag did not call him up. Man United will use this pre season game to prepare for the upcoming Premier League season. Man Utd played some notable names like Aaron Wan Bissaka, Andre Onana, and Jonny Evans. Amad Diallo impressed as he scored an incredible goal against Rangers. The other highlight was Leny Yoro, who made a great tackle against the Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers.

The Red Devils will slowly bring in their other star players for the upcoming friendly matches. The fans are very excited for the upcoming season since the club has been linked to a lot of great players this summer. After signing Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee, Manuel Ugarte from PSG seems to be the next target.
