FC Barcelona may still be facing challenges in fixing its financial situation, but the club is confident that it will soon be able to sign players who can make a difference. Hansi Flick hopes that the club will be able to make a signing this summer, like Nico Williams, who has been linked to the Catalan club for the past couple of weeks. The club seems close to signing one of the best players in EURO 2024, but they want another player who shined in the competition this summer.

FC Barcelona is interested in signing Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig, and the player had a release clause of around $60 million. Olmo scored three goals for Spain at the EUROS this summer, and he caused interest from other clubs like Bayern Munich and Manchester City. The release clause expired on July and the Catalan club wants to see him wear the Blaugrana colors at the Camp Nou in the upcoming season.

Sport reports that FC Barcelona had an offer rejected by RB Leipzig for Dani Olmo as the offer was seen as 'ridiculous.' The reports suggest that FC Barcelona offered around $40 million, which would be paid in installments for the next five years. Barcelona would pay RB Leipzig $10 million if Olmo wins two La Liga titles with the team in the next five seasons, and they would pay another $10 million if he wins two Champions League with the club in the next five seasons.

Santi Aouna from Foot Mercato reports that Manchester City made an offer to Dani Olmo. At the same time, Barcelona is pushing to sign him as well. The report suggest that Olmo prefers a move to Barça then Man City but the Catalan club needs to sell a player to make the signing possible.

Dani Olmo was part of the EURO 2024 Team of the Tournament, as he scored three goals and provided two assists. He is tied as the player with the most goal contributions, with five goals, while Lamine Yamal also had five goal contributions.

Dani Olmo's 23/24 season with RB Leipzig

Dani Olmo played a total of 25 matches for RB Leipzig across all competitions. He scored eight goals and provided five assists across all competitions. He suffered a knee injury and another injury that kept him out for a long time during the season.
