Real Madrid has been very successful under their manager Carlo Ancelotti, and the club hopes that it can continue for the new season as they look to win every competition they are in. Last season, Real Madrid won the La Liga title, the Spanish Super Cup, and the Champions League. Real Madrid will be playing in more competitions next season, and the club hopes the team can win it all, but it could concern Ancelotti and the players in reaching that goal.

Real Madrid will compete in La Liga, the Champions League, the Copa del Rey, the International Club Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the Spanish Super Cup, and the new FIFA Club World Cup next summer, which includes 32 clubs. MARCA reports that the minimum number of matches that Real Madrid could play in the 2024/2025 season is 53, and the maximum in the event of qualifying and reaching all finals is 72 matches.

Real Madrid is concerned that the team could play up to 72 games next season, and this also includes international games for the players. Some players in the squad could play up to 82 games next season, as ten extra matches would include international break matches with their national teams.

Real Madrid played a total of 55 matches in the 2023/2024 season. Carlo Ancelotti only lost out on winning the Copa Del Rey, but they lost 4-2 to Atletico Madrid in extra time. Los Blancos only lost twice across all competitions this past season; both losses were against Atletico Madrid (one in Copa del Rey and one in La Liga).

In the Champions League, Real Madrid remained undefeated throughout the whole competition. The closest they lost was in the Champions League semi final against Bayern Munich. The first leg ended 2-2 at the Allianz Arena, but in the second leg, Bayern took the lead and were close to the Champions League Final. Alphonso Davies scored the opener for Bayern in the 68th minute after a great strike.

Real Madrid won the match 2-1 in crazy fashion as Joselu scored in the 88th and in the 91st minute. Bayern thought they equalized in the last minute when Matthijs De Ligt scored from the edge of the box, but it was quickly ruled off for offside. Bayern players complained about the offside and wanted VAR to check, but it wasn't reviewed. The Bayern complaints were ignored, and Real Madrid advanced to the finals to play against Borussia Dortmund, leading them to win it by beating BVB 2-0.

Real Madrid aiming to win it all

Real Madrid looks to still be aiming to win every trophy possible in the new season that is coming up in a couple of weeks. Kylian Mbappé and Endrick are the new players that will join the squad and the attack is now one of the most feared in the world. Los Blancos are now the clear favorites to win the Champions League next year.
