With the current performances that Chivas has given, it’s clear that El Rebaño Sagrado has long lost the importance they used to have in Liga MX. They’ve won just three games since Marcelo Michel Leaño took over, two of them in Clausura 2022 against clubs on the bottom of the table.

These 3 players are ready to leave Chivas after the disappointing results

After the 3-1 defeat against Tigres in Estadio Akron in front of their followers, Chivas demonstrated that they don’t have any idea of how to play associative soccer and that they rely on the individualities of Alexis Vega and Jesús Angulo in hopes of leveling the scale for them.

That’s why both Marcelo Michel Leaño and Amaury Vergara have decided turning their backs to one of Chivas’ traditions and start signing Mexican American players, hoping that if they start experimenting with different players, they’ll find an answer to their lack of planning.

Which is the latest addition to Chivas?

Chivas was able to acquire a young player before the registration for Clausura 2022 closed, as they added Marck Anthony Cruz Benito, an 18-year-old striker born in California. For the current season, he’ll play with Tapatío, Chivas Academy team, but he has the chance of playing with the senior team if needed.
