Enzo Fernandez and Alexis Mac Allister are two great pillars of the Argentine team that managed to become world champion. After their great World Cup in Qatar 2022, both footballers went to two important clubs in England. Enzo heading to Chelsea and Mac Allister heading to Liverpool FC. Now, the salary of both footballers in their first season in their respective clubs is revealed. It is important to clarify that Fernandez was previously at Benfica and Mac Allister at Brighton.

The Argentine world champion, who arrived at Chelsea for 121 million euros from Benfica, will go from earning 11 million euros to receiving 5.82M of the same currency. This is because Todd Boehly, owner of the "Blues", decided to cut his players' salaries by 30% due to failure to achieve a primary objective, qualification for the 2023/24 Champions League.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool pay the Argentine a value of more than 150 thousand pounds sterling per week (approximately 170 thousand euros). That is, Alexis Mac Allister receives a higher salary than his teammate Enzo Fernández, with a difference of one and a half million per year between the two. However, both are fundamental elements for their respective clubs and there is no doubt that a salary improvement will be a matter of time.

Pochettino must confirm his level against Arsenal

Things are not going the best for the Chelsea FC coach. Pochettino entered a tough environment and inherited a bloated team, with too much spending and player turnover that continued throughout the summer. Unsurprisingly, it has taken the former boss time to get results. After a slow start, the Blues have won their last three games, although those games were against relegation-fighting Brighton, Fulham and Burnley. Chelsea will have the chance to show what they are made of when they take on Arsenal at the weekend.
