Kylian Mbappé made a bold statement ahead of the EUROS, which caused lots of debate among the football fans. The French star said that the EUROS was a harder competition than the World Cup, which led many to agree and many to disagree. The EUROS started first on June 14th, while the Copa America started last week. The summer competitions have been entertaining for many football fans but the Copa America could brag about breaking a record the EUROS did not break despite the Americas tournament not running as long as the European Championship. This summer so far, the Copa America has broken a record that the EUROS had held for 60 years. This week in Copa America, Chile and Argentina played at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The capacity of the stadium for the match was 81,106 fans. The Euros record for the biggest attendance record in a stadium was in 1964 during a match between Spain and the Soviet Union in the Final.

This seems expected to happen since the United States has many of the biggest stadiums in the world. The MetLife stadium is one of the biggest in the world, and the venue will be where the 2026 World Cup final will take place. The Copa America 2024 tournament would be a test for the US ahead of the World Cup in two years, which will have 48 teams competing.

The debate continues, though, as fans suggest that the EUROS still has the better atmosphere since the Europeans are very passionate about their national teams. The stadium in Germany is also some of the biggest in the world, and for every game, it is almost sold out every time, as many fans from different European countries have traveled to support their teams.

The EUROS and the Copa America ends on the same day

Despite the Euros starting earlier than the Copa America, the two tournaments will end on the same day. The EUROS final and the Copa America final will be played on July 14th. The EUROS final will be played earlier in the day in the US, while the Copa America final will be played in the night.
