The transfer buzz is heating up in the United States with news that has taken everyone by surprise. According to City Xtra, Inter Miami are preparing a formal offer to sign Kevin De Bruyne, one of Manchester City's greatest players and a global football icon. The Belgian midfielder’s contract runs until June 2025, but he could make an early exit and arrive in Miami this July as a marquee signing.

The story has caught fire both in Europe and across the Americas. At 32 years old, De Bruyne is expected to leave Pep Guardiola's side, with both parties reportedly agreeing that the end of his cycle at the Etihad is near. Inter Miami see this as the perfect chance to tempt him with a lucrative deal and the opportunity to play alongside Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

From David Beckham’s franchise, they believe De Bruyne would be the ideal piece to complete the puzzle. His intelligence, experience and passing range could make him the midfield engine of a team that already boasts plenty of firepower. The club hopes to secure the move swiftly and introduce him as the summer’s headline addition in Major League Soccer.

Although Inter Miami are the frontrunners, De Bruyne is expected to attract offers from multiple clubs. Teams across Europe and from the Saudi Pro League are keen to land the playmaker and are willing to put massive contracts on the table. Still, the Belgian has previously spoken about his interest in a move to the United States, making MLS a strong contender.

Bringing De Bruyne to Miami would be a statement signing for the league, which continues to grow and draw elite talent. His arrival could also help elevate Messi and his teammates as they aim to lift the MLS Cup, a title that narrowly escaped them last season.

Inter Miami have already proven they are not afraid to dream big. After pulling off the incredible signing of Messi and reuniting several of his Barcelona teammates, they are now targeting another proven superstar. There are still details to iron out, but confidence is high that the project, the lifestyle, and the pull of playing with Messi could be enough to seal the deal.

De Bruyne edging closer to a transatlantic move

With his Manchester City chapter nearing its end and interest flooding in, Kevin De Bruyne is carefully weighing up his next steps. Inter Miami have emerged as a serious and appealing option, dreaming of adding him to their galaxy of stars. Could the Belgian maestro be the next to light up the MLS stage?
