Ruben Amorim, the Manchester United manager, made waves in the media after a report claimed he revealed a “vital change” during his team’s FA Cup win over Arsenal. The article suggested that Amorim had made a crucial tactical adjustment compared to their previous defeat in December, crediting a "hero" behind their victory.

However, upon closer inspection, Amorim’s actual comment was far less revealing. He simply noted that his team had shown “a different spirit, even with 10 men,” and that they were improving in that aspect. This was far from the bombshell that was suggested by the sensational headline, as Amorim didn’t exactly uncover any groundbreaking strategy or insights.

Manchester United players and their ‘celebration’ after the Arsenal win

Following the dramatic penalty win over Arsenal, the attention quickly shifted to the United players’ late-night return to Manchester. A headline from MailOnline described a carpooling celebration, but the reality was far from the story’s portrayal. Images showed United players arriving at Manchester Airport in cars, but none were “grinning” as claimed in the headline. I

n fact, Amorim himself appeared rather weary, likely due to the long day, and the players seemed exhausted rather than jubilant. As for the carpooling, it was revealed that only two players shared each of the two cars, which hardly qualifies as a “celebration” by carpooling standards.
