Bernardo Silva's time at Manchester City may be drawing to a close. According to Football Insider, the Portuguese midfielder, now 30, has expressed his intention to leave the club at the end of the season, bringing to an end a hugely successful spell under Pep Guardiola.

Silva, who joined City from Monaco in 2017, has been a vital part of the team’s golden era — known for his intelligence, creativity and versatility across the midfield. Yet, after so many years in the Premier League, the player now feels it is time for a change and is eager to take on a fresh challenge elsewhere.

More than just leaving City, Bernardo is also keen to step away from English football altogether. He is believed to be seeking a completely new environment, both professionally and personally, with La Liga and Ligue 1 emerging as potential destinations.

Those within the club are already aware of the midfielder's wishes, though nothing has been finalised. Guardiola holds Silva in high regard, not only for his performances on the pitch but also for his leadership off it. Still, the manager is unlikely to stand in his way if the right offer comes in.

During his time at the Etihad, Silva has won everything there is to win — including five Premier League titles, a Champions League and several domestic cups. He remains one of the most admired players among City fans, and his departure would mark the end of a significant chapter in the club’s history.

Another City star ready to move on

With Bernardo Silva eyeing a new adventure, Manchester City may be on the brink of another key exit. Following in the footsteps of Kevin De Bruyne, the Portuguese playmaker appears ready to close the curtain on his Premier League journey and explore new horizons next season.
