A couple of years ago you'd never expect to see Lionel Messi in another shirt but after his departure from FC Barcelona, the 35-year-old seems to be set to make yet another high-profile move, this time across the Atlantic. Messi is out of contract at PSG next summer with speculation high about his next destination but one team has emerged as a favourite.

According to the Athletic,  the David Beckham-owned Inter Miami has been in contact with Messi's team and the club is confident. Co-owners Jorge and Jose Mas have been leading the negotiations with Lionel's father Jorge Messi but it is unlikely that any word about Messi's destination will only come after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in November and December.
