As the Qatar 2022 FIFA World cup continue to dominate the centre stage in the sporting world, upsets have been trickling in. Spain demolished Costa Rica by seven unreplied goals in one of the highest scoring match so far at the tournament. Surprisingly, the biggest pin point man in Spain squad, Alvaro Morata had to managed a goal in the encounter.

It rained goals heavily during England versus Iran, as the  Asian country was thrashed Iran 6-2, once again no hat trick was recorded despite eight goals being scored. One would expect goal(s) from Tottenham Hotspur man Harry Kane but it was Bukayo Saka that stole the show with a brace to his name. Nevertheless, Kane managed to provide two assists. Iran star man, Mehdi Taremi also overshadowed Kane in the game by grabbing a brace.

Lionel Messi arrived Qatar with 7 league goals and a total of 15 while his rival Cristiano Ronaldo has been dismissed from Manchester United. They both have a goal each in Qatar in a farmiliar fashion. 33-year-old Ecuador striker currently sits at the top scorer log with 3 goals but the question remains how long will his country go at the world cup? With France tipped to reach knockout stages, Olivier Giroud (with 2 golas already to his name) is a contender for the golden boot in Qatar.
