Inter Miami got their star player for this MLS season. David Beckham's team looked for international soccer players from other leagues but they all refused to play in the United States League.
Carlos Vela's threat to LAFC for this season
After many attempts they managed to sign the Spanish midfielder, Alejandro Pozuelo, who left Toronto FC to be a the new soccer player of Inter of Miami.
Alejandro Pozuelo is 30 years old, he arrived in the MLS in 2019 for Toronto FC. He has been selected twice to the All-Star Game.
In 2020 he won the Landon Donovan Award for being the League's Most Valuable Player. With Toronto he played 88 games where he scored 26 goals and 31 assists.
Inter Miami coach Phil Neville expects Alejandro Pozuelo to be a boon to the team.
"He has proven to be one of the best talents in the league and we are confident that he will continue in that vein here in South Florida," Neville said.
