After Luis Suárez' title at Atlético Madrid, Ronald Koeman harshly criticized all of Barcelona

It wasn't just another Saturday for Ronald Koeman. Because Barcelona said goodbye to the 2020-2021 season only winning the Copa del Rey, being harshly eliminated in the Champions League and with no chances in La Liga. And precisely in the domestic tournament, the peculiarity occurred that Atlético Madrid came out as champion with Luis Suárez as one of its greatest figures. The Uruguayan was fired from Barcelona by Koeman, who was the target of harsh criticism for that action.

And after beating Eibar, without the presence of Lionel Messi since he decided to give him rest, the Dutch coach harshly criticized the current Blaugrana squad.

"At the moment we arrived, the squad was done. The only signing we made was Dest, on the last day. This squad isn't made, in every way, at the level that we want to have at Barça. Many at the club they think like this. We're trying to improve the squad. There're older players, with all due respect, who have shown that they have a level for this team. Others, younger, need to gain experience and will be better players. The squad isn't made and cannot be to do it in a single season. To be better, to be more effective at the top ... we're the ones who score the most, but the percentage of success'  lower than that of a team like Barcelona", said the coach at a press conference.

When analyzing the season, Koeman expressed: "It's the last game. We fought for the competition in 2021, but we lost two or three important games. The team's young, but we've grown as a team. It's positive. We want to win everything, but in life you can't always win everything".

Finally, he acknowledged about the victory against Eibar that "it's important to always win, we are Barcelona and we are expected to win every game. We played serious. In the first half, we had some problems with the ball, but then we were better in the second. and we scored a great goal. It was a highly contested match, with few opportunities".
