According to reports, the athlete declined English clubs in favor of working with Dutch coach Peter Bosz. But, according to Fabrizio Romano, United had made a last-minute approach for the Dutch international.

After closing in to agreeing to a transfer fee of £56 million plus add-ons for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, Manchester United is now attempting to secure a last-minute transfer swoop for Malacia.

The left-back for Feyenoord and De Jong have the same agent, and Manchester United has made it known that they want both players.

Tyrell Malacia’s new challenges

Malacia has played for Feyenoord his whole professional career, making his debut there against Napoli in the 2017 Champions League at the age of 18. He later went on to represent the Netherlands internationally, and Ten Hag was impressed with his Eredivisie efforts.

The player, who was poised to transfer to France with Lyon until Man Utd's last-minute intervention, will have to make a decision.
