Manchester City is close to signing a new footballer after a certainly difficult summer for the club. Pep Guardiola's team has had to deal with the departure of some elements, and now, it is finally confirmed that the footballer who will replace Riyad Mahrez, would already be closed.

The citizen team has suffered the departure of two great players like Ikay Gundogan or Riyad Mahrez. In the case of the German, the club opted for Mateo Kovacic. However, he continued to define the ideal profile to close the player with the best conditions to be the new Mahrez and finally decided on Jeremy Doku.

Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign Jeremy Doku for 60 million euros from Stade Rennais, as per Jack Gaughan and confirmed by Fabrizio Romano. He is a skilled Belgian player with an important dribble and who already has the go-ahead from Pep Guardiola to arrive once and for all this season in the citizen team.

Is Jeremy Doku the ideal profile?

The Belgium National Team player has shown his virtues in the last two years and is a footballer who can make a difference, and with the ability to unlock games with his dribbling. However, Pep Guardiola would use him in a secondary role, although given Bernardo Silva's recent injury, the player could start some games when he arrived.
