Aaron Wan-Bissaka wants a contract extension with Manchester United before the arrival of Erik ten Hag

United will start a new era on July 1st with Erik ten Hag as their new coach after the Dutchman agreed to a 3-year deal, and even if he still has over a month before his contract begins, he’s already in Manchester preparing for next season.

One of the things that he needs to solve is the lack of players that can score consistently, as aside from Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 24 goals and had three assistances, there wasn’t any other player that could help them, hence the lack of productivity.

Ten Hag had targeted Darwin Núñez as the perfect replacement for Edinson Cavani, who will become a free agent, but given that the Uruguayan striker wants to play Champions League next season, United is now looking the addition of West Ham United striker Jarrod Bowen.

Liverpool also is interested in Bowen

Jarrod Bowen put up impressive numbers on his second season with The Hammers, as he managed to score 18 goals and 13 assistances across all competences, something that have opened the doors for him to be part of the English national team and arrive to a bigger club.

According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is set at $37 million, an affordable sum for Manchester United, although they will have to increase their offer and convince the English striker now that Liverpool FC has showed interest in him too.

According to reports from Sports Illustrated, the project that Liverpool has is more attractive to the 25-year-old striker, especially since Jürgen Klopp is looking to renew the attack of the Reds, something he started doing with Diogo Jota’s incorporation and then with the addition of Luis Díaz.

Liverpool, willing to trade players for Bowen

One of the things that could lean the scale for the Reds and leave Manchester United without their second striker, is that Liverpool is willing to swap players, as they intend to part ways with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, a player that West Ham wants to have on their roster.
