The 2022/23 Premier League ended today and with it, many teams finally knew their destinies for the following season. Such is the case of the three relegated clubs: Southampton, Leicester City and Leeds United. In them, there is a player who became a league champion and was even considered by some as a candidate for the Ballon d'Or in his prime. Now, here's what Liverpool would do upon learning they were relegated to the Championship.

Liverpool FC must hit the transfer market in search of attacking reinforcements. The departure last summer of Mane and now, the departure of Roberto Firmino have left Mohamed Salah adrift with Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz yet to reach their best at the club.

Therefore, the Anfield team is aware that reinforcements up front are necessary and with that, the possible arrival of a player and at a low price is ideal considering that the team failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Therefore, Klopp does not see with bad eyes reinforcements for his attack in the next season.

The possible reinforcement would be nothing more and nothing less than Jamie Vardy, a player who was a goalscoring champion with Leicester City, but now failed to help his team to secure the permanence and could join a team in Europe, being living his last years at the best level, although this season he could not be key.

Liverpool want to sign Jamie Vardy?

Unfortunately, for the interests of Jamie Vardy, his signing is not contemplated for the moment by the Reds board. Barring a surprise, the Anfield team will be reinforced with elements with an age that can have many more seasons at the best level at their feet. It is worth remembering that Jamie Vardy started his career at the age of 36 and now, at the age of 37, he could remain at Leicester City, helping them climb back up to the Premier League.
