Jürgen Klopp's decision to become Red Bull's new global director of football has sparked outrage among German fans and journalists. The former Mainz, Dortmund, and Liverpool manager's move to the energy drink giant has been met with widespread condemnation, particularly in his native Germany.

Red Bull's football ventures, especially RB Leipzig, have long been viewed with skepticism in Germany due to their rapid and financially-fueled rise. Klopp's association with these clubs is seen by many as a betrayal of the traditional values he espoused during his time at Mainz, Dortmund, and Liverpool.

Günter Klein, a journalist for the Munich-based newspaper Münchner Merkur, was among the most vocal critics, stating on X: "Klopp is as false as his teeth." Der Spiegel, another prominent German publication, echoed these sentiments in an online article, stating: "He presented himself as 'The Normal One' at Liverpool

In contrast to 'The Special One,' José Mourinho, garnering enthusiastic reactions. Now, everything seems to make sense for many who have internalized the normal mechanisms of this industry: money. And this is news that has upset most fans when they found out."
