McLaughlin, who owns several bars in New York and Pennsylvania, came up with the idea of opening a Liverpool-themed bar in NYC after a conversation with Carragher’s father.

Carragher explained how the partnership came about: "Brian... asked about the idea of naming a bar after me in New York. It’s not something a lad from Bootle usually gets, so it was always going to get the green light." Since then, Carragher has supported the bar by sending memorabilia from his playing days and visiting the venue once or twice a year to check in.
