The Kansas City Chiefs won another Super Bowl this past Sunday. The Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in a close American football game. The game went overtime, and it went differently than their first encounter of the Super Bowl, which took place four years ago.

After drawing 19-19 after four quarters, both the Chiefs and the 49ers had to go to overtime. After new rules for overtime in the NFL, both teams needed to have ball possession and, from there, determine the winner. During the 49ers possession, they could reach a touchdown and instead scored a field goal to make it 22-19 for the 49ers. This was a mistake, as Patrick Mahomes would help the Chiefs reach a clutch touchdown with seconds left. The Chiefs were around 75 yards from the end zone, and Mahomes slowly reached the end. With 9 seconds to go, Mahomes passes the ball to Mecole Hardman and reaches a historic back-to-back Super Bowl title.
The 2020 Super Bowl did not go to overtime, but the Kansas City Chiefs made another comeback. In the 4th quarter, the Chiefs were losing 20-10. The Chiefs scored 21 points in the 4th quarter to win 31-20. This was Mahomes first Super Bowl ring with the Chiefs. After the Chiefs won against the San Francisco 49ers two times in four years, Liverpool fans believe it will give them luck in their season.

In 2020, the Chiefs defeated the 49ers in the Super Bowl. That same year, Liverpool won their first Premier League title in 30 years. Liverpool fans believe it could happen again since the 2024 Super Bowl includes the same teams and the same result of the Chiefs winning. Liverpool remains 1sts in the Premier League and is two points ahead of Arsenal and Manchester City.
