The 2025 transfer market promises to be one of the most intense in recent times, with Premier League clubs willing to spend astronomical sums to strengthen their squads. One of the most talked-about names in England is Julian Alvarez, the Argentine striker who has showcased his quality at Manchester City. However, Liverpool's dream of signing him seems to be fading quickly.

The 'Reds' intended to bring him into their project for the next season, but the major issue lies in Atletico Madrid having priority to sign him. The Colchonero side, which has shown strong interest in the forward, is not willing to let him go easily. The relationship between Diego Simeone and the player, combined with Atletico's determination to make a big investment, seriously complicates any attempt by Liverpool to secure the striker.

According to reports from the English press, Liverpool is urgently seeking a striker to bolster their attack for the upcoming season. The possible departure of Mohamed Salah to Saudi football and the need to find a top-quality replacement have led the club's executives to explore other options in the European market.

The Anfield side is clear that they need an offensive reference capable of taking on the role of attack leader. In this context, several alternatives have emerged, but only one has gained true prominence in recent days. This player has shone in the Premier League and is also being targeted by other European giants.

Negotiations in the market are in their early stages, but everything indicates that Liverpool is willing to make a significant financial effort to secure their next top striker. This player has been key to the resurgence of his current team, and his talent has attracted interest from clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.

Alexander Isak, Liverpool's main target

Liverpool's chosen striker to reinforce their attack is Alexander Isak, currently playing for Newcastle United. The Swedish forward has delivered outstanding performances for the 'Magpies,' contributing decisive goals and establishing himself as one of the most sought-after strikers in the Premier League.

Newcastle has valued Isak at approximately £150 million, a figure that only a select group of clubs could afford. RMC Sport has confirmed that both PSG and Arsenal are also interested in his signing, but Anfield considers him an absolute priority. If Liverpool manages to finalise the deal, they could make a statement signing and secure one of the best strikers in world football today.
