Cristiano Ronaldo is known to have a great physique, and he has maintained it at 39 years old. This is what keeps him healthy and fit to play at the highest level of football while other legends from the past have retired at his age. The Portuguese striker will play in his sixth EUROS with Portugal this summer, and he reveals that his diet is the key to maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle. A short video with Whoop shows Ronaldo giving a small tour of his kitchen, which is filled with healthy options to eat, like vegetables and water, and his water brand, Ursu. Ronaldo said, “I like to eat properly, not only because I play football but for my health. As I told you, during this moment, hydration [is important].” Ronaldo had water with lemon and mint in his fridge, along with other hydrational drinks that kept him and his family healthy.
Ronaldo was asked if he had any vices when it came to food, such as cheat meals. CR7 gave a funny response as he said, “I try to make different foods every time because I have a big family, so I can eat some pizza with them, hamburgers, and fries, but I don’t do it very often, but it’s good because if you don’t do it, your kids will call you a boring father.”
Since his health is at a high level compared to other athletes, he is able to compete with young players in football, like his teammates in the Portuguese national team. He showcased his quality in the recent friendly match against Ireland as they won 3-0 with a brace from Ronaldo. He is now likely to start in most of the games for the EUROS as they plan to win the European Championship once again.
Portugal is now ready to play in EURO 2024 as they finished their third friendly match before the tournament starts. Portugal defeated Finland 4-2, lost 2-1 to Croatia, and defeated Ireland. Next is the EURO 2024, and their first opponents will be the Czech Republic on June 18th at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig.
