Real Madrid paid $35m for Endrick, but with Mbappé's arrival the plans they have with the Brazilian

Real Madrid paid around $35 million for the young Brazilian star Endrick Felipe from Palmeiras in late 2022. The Brazilian will join the Real Madrid team next season as he will soon turn 18 in July. The Brazilian is a striker, which is a position that Real Madrid has been trying to fill since the departure of Karim Benzema last summer. Although Endrick is set to arrive, Kylian Mbappé is also close to becoming a new Real Madrid player, and many are unsure about where the young Brazilian striker will play. Rumors suggested that he would be loaned out or stay at Palmeiras for a few more months, but the Spanish club wants him for the squad next season.

Endrick and Mbappé will have to rotate on multiple occasions next season since Carlo Ancelotti may likely return to a front-three attack. With Endrick likely to stay in the Real Madrid squad, the team will have Vinicius, Rodrygo, Mbappé, Endrick, and Joselu as attackers. The Brazilian could also stick with the main striker position, while Mbappé and Vinicius could play as the wingers next to him.

Another concern others have is Joselu’s situation. The Spanish striker has been the backup striker this season for Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo. The two Brazilian wingers have played as strikers this season, which has worked perfectly. Although Real Madrid will have too much depth in the attack if they keep Joselu next season, the club wants both players to be part of the squad next season. Joselu’s price tag is below $2 million, which will reportedly be paid to sign him permanently.

Mbappé will reportedly play as the main striker instead of playing in his preferred left-wing position. Vinicius Jr. has claimed that position for the past few years at Real Madrid, where he has produced the best numbers on the pitch. Vinicius Jr. is arguably the best player in the world, and Carlo Ancelotti may want Vini to stay on the wings while Mbappé is the main number nine, who has played in that position at PSG this season.

What about Arda Guler?

While the attack is becoming overloaded with talent, many Real Madrid fans wonder if this would affect Arda Guler’s playing time. Recently, Ancelotti has been playing Guler more often and has responded well. The young Turkish attacking midfielder has scored four goals in the last three La Liga matches he has played. He scored a brace in the 4-4 draw between Real Madrid and Villarreal. With only 373 minutes played in La Liga this season, Guler has six goals in 10 league matches, where he started in four.
