Kylian Mbappé played his final game for PSG last night, and the French club arguably lost its greatest player in history. Now, this summer transfer window will be important for the club since they will have to find a replacement for Mbappé. Luis Enrique spoke after PSG’s 2-1 win over Lyon in the Coupe De France final, and he was asked how the club will replace Mbappé next season as the summer transfer window will soon open. Enrique said, “We’re not replacing him! It’s the team that will replace him, not just one player, but five or six. We will have to improve. We want to make history and eventually we will win the UCL [UEFA Champions League]. When ? I don’t know. But yes, we will win it.” PSG will not receive a transfer fee for Mbappé this summer as he leave the club as a free agent since his contract expires in late June.

Mbappé spoke after his final game with PSG and praised the club despite leaving for Real Madrid. Mbappé said, “Playing for PSG, I recommend it. I was lucky enough to experience it. Nostalgia, emotion. It was cool. I’ve always taken stock of where I was, of this unique experience of playing for PSG. What I had here, I wouldn’t experience anywhere else.”

When asked why he hasn’t announced his move to Real Madrid yet, Mbappé said, “The best thing was to finish saying goodbye. The only thing I wanted was to finish well with my club [PSG]. My next chapter will be fantastic. I’m sure of it. We are still a few days away from the announcement of my new team. I will announce it in due course.”

When will Mbappé be announced and presented as a new Real Madrid player?

According to Relevo, Real Madrid’s idea is to announce the signing of Kylian Mbappé in the first week of June and, if possible, even present it. The available dates are June 3rd, 6th or 7th. Real Madrid wants to fully focus on the Champions League Final against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium that will take place on June 1st.
