Liverpool are reportedly considering Omar Marmoush and Karim Adeyemi as possible transfer targets amid growing concerns over the future of Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian forward, now 32, is approaching the last six months of his contract at Anfield, sparking speculation that he could leave the club as a free agent in the summer.

Salah’s Future in Doubt, Liverpool Prepare Contingency Plans

Salah has been a central figure at Liverpool for the past seven years, scoring an incredible 217 goals in 359 appearances. However, despite his record-breaking contributions, the forward has yet to agree to a contract extension. Alongside Salah, two other Liverpool stars, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, also face the possibility of becoming free agents in July.

Reports from Germany suggest that Liverpool’s management is already making contingency plans should they fail to secure a deal with Salah. Sky Sports Germany's Patrick Berger and Florian Plettenberg have identified Eintracht Frankfurt's Omar Marmoush and Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi as potential replacements.

Marmoush, a 25-year-old Egyptian international, is reportedly in talks with Eintracht Frankfurt about a contract extension, including a one-year extension and a pay raise that would keep him at the club until 2027. Interest from Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest surfaced over the summer, but no formal move materialized. Adeyemi, a promising forward from Dortmund, is another exciting prospect on Liverpool’s radar as they prepare for a possible post-Salah era.

Salah’s Season So Far and Future Remarks

As Salah’s future remains uncertain, Liverpool fans are anxious about his next steps. The Egyptian star has continued to impress this season, scoring four goals and providing four assists in the first seven Premier League matches. Salah recently became the first Liverpool player to score in five consecutive Champions League matches at Anfield after his crucial second goal in a 2-0 victory over Bologna.

Following his standout performance in Liverpool’s 7-0 thrashing of Manchester United, Salah reflected on his situation: “I’ve had a great summer, a lot of time to be with myself and think positively. As you know, this is my last year at the club, and I want to enjoy it. I don’t want to overthink, I feel free to just play football. We’ll see what happens next year.”
