If the rumors suggest that Neymar potentially joining Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Inter Miami become true, David Beckham would have no choice but not to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. Signing Ronaldo and Neymar in the same summer seems almost impossible to happen, let alone sign one of them. Neymar could potentially join Inter Miami after hints of missing the MSN trio at FC Barcelona and the pictures with Beckham. Ronaldo felt some type of way from the treatment in Saudi Arabia, which could mean he wants a move away from Al Nassr, but Inter Miami may not be his likely destination if Neymar goes to the MLS.
Cristiano's options would get smaller if he left Saudi Arabia. Since Inter Miami was a possible team, he would've caught the eyes of fans. Although the dream of seeing Messi and Ronaldo may be over, another match-up between the two could happen again if the Portuguese star joins Monterrey CF in Liga MX. What Monterrey has that could appeal to Ronaldo is their qualification to the FIFA Club World Cup next year, which will include 32 teams. Ronaldo could face Messi again in the Leagues Cup, as it includes MLS and Liga MX teams.
Ronaldo may also prefer a move back to Europe, and the club that reportedly wanted to sign him is Bayer Leverkusen. Xabi Alonso, Ronaldo's former teammate, has transformed the team into one of the best in Europe, and they remain undefeated at this stage of the season. Leverkusen won the Bundesliga with no losses at the moment and with three league games to go. Ronaldo may want to help Leverkusen with their chances of potentially becoming a top candidate to win the Champions League next season.

An option many Portuguese fans would like to see is Ronaldo back to the Liga Portugal with Sporting CP. Although reports suggest that FC Porto is interested in Ronaldo, the Portuguese striker will most likely pick his boyhood club, where he made his professional debut. Sporting has named their academy after him and even had a shirt with his logo on it. Sporting manager Ruben Amorim dreamed of having Ronaldo on the team and said, "Everyone at Sporting dreams of the return of Cristiano."
