Real Sociedad and Real Madrid played an electrifying match that ended in a 4-4 draw, but the Basque team was eliminated after losing 1-0 in the first leg. However, beyond the aggregate result, Imanol Alguacil did not hide his frustration with the refereeing and claimed that his team was harmed in a key play.

The Real Sociedad coach pointed directly at Madrid's third goal, in which Kylian Mbappe was involved in the play despite being offside. For Alguacil, the action should have been disallowed, but the referee decided to validate the goal without reviewing the play.

"It was offside. If it can be called, it is better not to talk. They did not call it, and that's it. We were eliminated while they were getting help in an area that should be neutral," said the coach, making it clear that he was unhappy with the refereeing performance.

Furthermore, the coach took a direct shot at Real Madrid, suggesting that his team would not have received the same treatment in a similar situation: "Madrid is a giant and does not need help. I am very sure they would not have given the goal if it had happened in the other box."

Despite the frustration over the elimination, Alguacil praised his players' effort and the fight they put up in the match. However, he insisted that refereeing played a decisive role in the outcome of the series.

The words of Real Sociedad's coach show his frustration and open the debate about refereeing decisions in crucial matches. Alguacil's statements will surely continue to be discussed in the coming days, fueling the controversy around Real Madrid's qualification.
