Sport reports that it is not ruled out that FC Barcelona striker Vitor Roque could be loaned out next season. Roque was signed by the Catalan club last summer but joined the team in January. The young Brazilian striker played 11 matches for the team, scoring two goals. He only started two matches for the team and hasn't played a minute since the La Liga game against Cadiz. There were lots of expectations for Roque, and he was even compared with Vinicius Jr. as the next bright prodigy coming out from Brazil.
Relevo reports that Roque's entourage is worried about the lack of minutes he has with FC Barcelona and two possible theories as to why 'Tigrinho' has almost no minutes at Barça. The first is because he's undergoing a logical period of adaptation. The second theory is more worrying. There are those who think that the Brazilian is not a priority for Xavi. The total number of appearances he has made is 13 in all competitions, and both of his goals came from La Liga.
Roque's first goal for FC Barcelona was against Osasuna in a 1-0 win in late January. The Brazilian was building momentum as he scored again in the 3-1 win against Deportivo Alaves. His cameo from the bench was eventful as he scored quickly but also received a red card, which caused him to miss one game. Since then, his minutes have been less throughout the season as Robert Lewandowski continues to start game after game.
On the other hand, Vinicius Jr. has shown a high level of football over the past three years at Real Madrid. This season, Vini has made 32 appearances in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 11 assists. In his last game for Real Madrid, he shined in El Clasico against FC Barcelona, where he scored and provided an assist. In 22 La Liga matches, he has 13 goals and five assists.
