EURO 2024 is underway, and Germany impressed many as they defeated Scotland 5-1 at the Football Arena München. One of the best players on the pitch was Toni Kroos, who will retire from professional football after the EUROS tournament ends. Real Madrid and Germany fans are upset about his decision to retire in July, as he is still one of the best midfielders in the world. A stat that proves his quality is the pass accuracy he had against Scotland today. Kroos completed 101 passes out of 102 passes attempted, which puts him at a 99% pass accuracy today. It is the highest completion rate on record since 1980 for any player to attempt 100 plus passes in a game at the EUROS, according to Opta Joe. He created four chances for Germany as a deep playmaker next to Robert Andrich. Kroos played 80 minutes in the Germany vs Scotland match. Real Madrid and their fans are starting to realize how much the loss of Kroos in the team will be next season as his composure and passing accuracy are unmatched. Kroos will have two more games guaranteed as they will face Hungary next on June 19th and then against Switzerland on June 23rd.
