Cristiano Ronaldo is a legend of Real Madrid, and Kylian Mbappé is set to become a legend at the club as well. The French star is currently one of the best players in the world, and many fans are very excited to see him play for them. Ronaldo's arrival was really exciting for Real Madrid fans as he also arrived as one of the best players in the world and won the Ballon d'Or after his performances at Manchester United.

The Portuguese star's arrival led the club to sell around 2,000 of his jerseys on his first day at the club. Real Madrid was selling 15 shirts per minute for Ronaldo's arrival in 2009, and in two hours, 2,000 jerseys with Ronaldo's name on the back were sold. The number was easily surpassed by Kylian Mbappé on his first day at the club.

Sources in Spain suggested that Real Madrid sold more than 7,000 Mbappé jerseys in one day and the shirt sales are expected to be way more in the next couple of days.

Mbappé's goal is not to beat or overtake Ronaldo at Real Madrid but to write his own history at the club of his dreams. Mbappé spoke about Ronaldo in the press conference after referencing a quote he had on the Portuguese star's presentation at the club in 2009. Mbappé, like Ronaldo, told the crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu to chant Hala Madrid on their count to three and in Spanish, which is not the native language of either player.

Mbappé admitted that it was a tribute to Ronaldo, who he still considers him to be his idol. The French star said, "I gave a tribute to my idol Cristiano Ronaldo (uno, dos, tres.. Hala Madrid!). We talk all the time and he gives me a lot of advice. I'd like to send him a huge hug!"

Carlo Ancelotti welcomes Mbappé

The manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, got to speak with Mbappé ahead of the presentation and even gave him a welcome on his Instagram. Ancelotti wrote, "Welcome to the best club in the world. Welcome to your home, Kylian. Hala Madrid!”

Kylian Mbappé seemed very intrigued about joining the club as he talked about what he wanted to achieve next season. The Champions League seems to be the goal for the player, as he mentioned in the past, to be the trophy he wants to win. Mbappé jerseys will increase in sales if he performs at his best next season. The new Real Madrid player will wear the Real Madrid jersey with pride after his words on shinning next season as he said, "I want what the club wants. I want to win all titles. Real Madrid have always won, before me, and they will do it even after me. What I want is Real Madrid to win titles with me now."
