The rivarlry betwwen Superstars, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo may have been reignited in Qatar as loyalists the two players have reasons to celebrate their icons. The two great players arrived Qatar, venue of the 2022 world cup in constrasting style, while Messi was having a good season in the color of PSG before the start of the global competition, it was tough for Cristiano.

Messi has 15 goals to his name for his french club but Ronaldo who was on a second stint with English club was unhappy with the way he was treated by manager Erik Ten Hag. Before the arrival of the Dutchman at Old Trafford the celebration ‘SIU’ style occured very much as Cristiano scored 24 golas for Manchester United to earned the club's top scorer award for the 2021/2022 season.

When the Dutchman signed for Manchester United, many don't predicted its signalled the end of Cristiano's second stint at the Theatre of Dreams. In his first game in Qatar, he scored a goal from the spot kick against Ghana after Messi did the same against Saudi Arabia, that's similar fashion! but results from games were contrasting. Cristiano was in joyous mood after win against Ghana, while Messi was unhappy with defeat to Saudi Arabia.

How Cristiano copies Messi in Qatar

Messi was full of smile as he eased burden off his shoulders after superb performances against Mexico on Saturday. He registered a goal and assist and Cristiano will want to do the same against Uruguay. The main subject here is, when Messi won the COPA America in 2021 he was unattached as his time at Barcelona elapsed during the comptition. Similarly, Cristiano is on that plane as he is presntly unattached with any football club.
