Lionel Messi is, without a doubt the undisputed best player of this era and, for many, in the history of football. The argentinian won his eighth Ballon d'Or last Monday and that way he continues writing golden pages in the history of football. Although he competed with Cristiano Ronaldo for many years and at the time the dispute was close, recent times favored him and ended up burying the debate about who is the best player in the world.

The argentinian's career was signed by what he has done at FC Barcelona, where he certainly made history. There, he joined different teams and, for many years, has been compared to several young promises who finally, for different reasons, have not finished as the same way as Leo Messi and many of them, later, ended up losing the track.

One of those great examples is the spanish Bojan Krkic, who was one of the young promises who shared team at Barça with Messi between 2007 and 2011. Now with 32 yeras old and a year after his retirement, he referred in a very unexpected way to the argentine captain.

Bojan referred to Messi in a striking way and surprised

As part of the presentation of his documentary, Krkic spoke with the newspaper AS and he launched a particular sentence about Messi. “I wanted to share my experiences as a player. People think he is very pretty, but there is suffering and effort. I wanted to explain what I experienced. The reason for my decisions, giving a positive message. They talk about personal situations and teaching that Messi is not the example", he stated. "Neither Messi nor Cristiano nor Rafa Nadal are ordinary cases, they cannot be the example for young people. They are extraordinary. Success is not that, it is only going to happen to them. Success can be applied to many scenarios. For me, Sergio Canales is a successful athlete because he has broken his knee three times and has made it to the National Team. Joselu, at 33 years old, has arrived in Madrid. Those situations are successful.", explained about his controversial phrase.
