He couldn't compare to Messi in any way possible

In 2014, a young Israeli footballer named Gai Assulin was hailed as the next Lionel Messi. He was only 16 years old at the time, but he had already shown incredible skills and promise. However, in the years since then, Assulin has largely disappeared from the public eye. So what happened to him?

The Israeli Messi is a nickname given to Gai Assulin, an Israeli professional footballer who played as a winger for Barcelona and even Manchester City. The nickname was given to him due to his small stature and ability to make acrobatic saves, similar to that of Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi.
