The player that Atlas wants to steal from Chivas and would get almost free

Chivas was a complete disaster during the last season. The team coached by Víctor Vucetich only earned 26 points on 17 matches played during the tournament Guard1anes and finished on the seventh position. The objective of getting to the top four teams in the table was not possible.

Despite the bad results, Chivas also experienced problems as they had many players committing undisciplined acts who had to be sanctioned by the coach and the sport adviser Ricardo Peláez. One of them was José Juan Vázquez, who was axed, won’t be playing again with the Rebaño Sagrado and is looking for another club.

Atlas showed some interest on Vázquez and is seriously thinking on signing him. The experienced midfielder aged 32 has a contract until December 2021 with Chivas but is expecting to leave before, as he doesn’t want to waste a whole year without playing.

Chivas already want to sell him and, due to his situation, they could be accepting some offers that are not so high. The actual reported value of the player reaches the $2 million. Atlas will try to take advantage from the situation from Chivas with the player and sign him almost for free.
