Argentina and Colombia will face off in the 2024 Copa America Final this Sunday at the Hard Rock Stadium, and it will be the most anticipated match in the Americas. Lionel Messi and James Rodriguez are the stars of their national teams, and they both are motivated to win the trophy this Sunday, but the fans who want to watch the match in person will have to spend a lot in order to watch them live. The ticket prices for the Copa America final are receiving lots of criticism as the prices are way too overpriced. According to websites or apps like SeatGeek, the cheapest price for the Argentina vs Colombia final is $2197, and the most expensive one is worth around $5500. Sideline suites will cost close to $100K. Many football fans are worried about these prices because the World Cup in two years in the United States could be expected to be more expensive, especially the final, which will be played at the MetLife Stadium in 2026.

Argentina and Colombia arriving at the final seems fair since the two have demonstrated to be the best teams so far in Copa America. Argentina arrived at the final with an easier route, while Colombia took out giants from South America, like Uruguay and Brazil, to reach the final. Fans expect the match to be even since it's between the World Champions and the best-performing team in the competition so far.

Argentina topped their group, Group A, with nine points after beating Canada, Chile, and Peru. In the knockout stages, Argentina drew 1-1 against Ecuador in the quarterfinals. The game went straight to a penalty shootout, and then Argentina won 4-2. They then defeated Canada in the semifinals 2-0 to reach the final.

Colombia's route to the final

Colombia also topped their group, Group D, ahead of Brazil, Paraguay, and Costa Rica. Colombia defeated Paraguay 2-1 in their debut of the competition. They went on to defeat Costa Rica 3-0 in their second match. Brazil and Colombia drew 1-1 in the group stage. Then the Colombians defeated Panama 5-0 in the quarterfinals and then beat Uruguay 1-0 in the semifinals.
