Pep Guardiola finally handed the list with the 21 players that he included to compete in the Champions League 2020/21 season. Despite some players that are obviously in, such as Sergio Agüero, Kevin de Bruyne or Gabriel Jesus, there is an absence that surprised English press and that make us think that this player will be leaving.

The player who we are talking about Eric García, the young defender aged 19, probably one of those who has a big career ahead. Guardiola's decision may have to do with the fact that the player pushed to leave the club and go back to FC Barcelona during the last transfer window and in spectating to do so in the next.

Nevertheless, the decision is not a final one, as he can be included in the second delivery of the list, in which players born after January 1999 and who have been in the club during at least two years consecutively may be enrolled. Another surprise absence in the team for now is Phil Foden.

García was formed in La Masía from FC Barcelona but left the club in 2017 to incorporate to Manchester City for almost $2 million. But now, his desire is to go back to his former club and try to have success in the first team as he did in the minor categories.
