Mason Mount is one of Manchester United's concrete targets for this season. The Chelsea midfielder's contract expires in 2024 and this is the opportunity for the London club to sell him at a good price. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the latest offers coming from the club do not convince the Old Trafford team.
Manchester United perceives Chelsea's price inflation for 24-year-old Mason Mount, who, according to reports coming out of England, is looking for new challenges and is nearing the end of his contract. The Mancunian giants' restricted budget is a concern for the Red Devils, as they are unwilling to overspend on the midfielder, as they are also keen to snap up a striker in this summer transfer window.
Coach Erik ten Hag holds Mount in high regard and considers him a priority. However, United's Plan B includes a list of at least four other top midfielders. However, the English player wants to avoid this and therefore, he surprises with his most recent action to force his way into Erik ten Hag's team.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the player intends to wear the colors of the Red Devils and for this, it is important that both reach an agreement. For this reason, the player has already expressed his intentions of not renewing his contract with Chelsea, so if he is not sold in this transfer market, he would leave in the summer of 2024 for free.
