It's been two years since Gonzalo Higuain decided to retire from soccer. The former Inter Miami striker retired from David Beckham's team but did not leave the sport. Higuain does not practice padel in an amateur way as many think, he did it in a professional way. On April 23 he participated in the Open Padel Club in Miramar, Miami, in which he took a check of 300 dollars with his partner Alejandro Lasaigues. The Argentine was able to win a title in another sport. The 'Pipita' looks happy playing this new sport, without as much pressure as in soccer.

Although he now plays Padel, for Higuain soccer was his life and what I love the most, he said when he retired at Inter Miami: "It's over. What I loved most as a job is over. During half of my life, it was 17 and a half years of career, and all the images come to your mind of what you lived, what you fought, what I tried to do," the striker said at a press conference.

Higuain was very criticized, especially by the Argentine fans, because with his teams he was decisive but with the national team he was not: "When you know that you give everything, you leave with a clear conscience and I feel that. Now begins another stage, another life, leaving what I loved the most, but with the conscience and conviction that I gave everything I could give," said the former striker.
