Shots fired? Tebas belittles Barcelona's Laporta below Real Madrid's Perez

La Liga president Javier Tebas is known for his controversial comments towards teams in his league and in others. He has allegedly accused the Premier League of overspending on transfers the wrong way while also mentioning the financial state of FC Barcelona. Tebas spoke more recently about the difference between Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta.

Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are still strong on bringing the Super League to life in a few years. The project has been rejected by many clubs across Europe, including top Premier League teams, PSG, Bayern Munich, and more. Tebas mentioned that he is against the Super League himself and that he will resign if the Super League happens.

Tebas spoke about the Super League and who he believes is in charge of the project between Florentino Perez and Joan Laporta. Tebas said, " The Super League is led by Florentino. Laporta doesn't lead anything, he has enough with Barça's economy. He's trying to see if he's in the lottery with the Super League. He can now wait. If they do not sell, they will not have more income to reach the 1-1 rule." This seemed like disrespect by the Barcelona fans to their president as the Catalan club struggles to make any big signings due to their financial crisis. Tebas talks about Barca's financial struggles as well.

Tebas says, "Barça? They know what they have to do; they still have things to do; otherwise, they will be subject to certain restrictions. They have two payments waiting for the levers and if this does not happen, it will limit them to the market of summer.”

Javier Tebas compliments Real Madrid on their financial state

Javier Tebas also spoke on Real Madrid's financial state, which is better than FC Barcelona's situation. Tebas says, "Alphonso Davies and more? I don’t know the costs of Mbappé deal, but in any case, Real [Madrid] have an excellent financial situation. They never did crazy things in the recent years”.
