Qatar Sports Investments kicks off another go at the Champions League at the helm of Paris Saint-Germain. Kylian Mbappé has his objetives in sight: "Winning the Champions League and being PSG's all-time top scorer are part of my objectives," he acknowledged. Mauricio Pochettino knew of the importance of this competition to PSG: "It's an obsession and anything less than winning it is synonymous with failure," noted the former PSG coach.

Since its arrival, QSI has invested 1.481 billion euros to sign Neymar ($222 million), Mbappé ($180 million), Hakimi ($66.5 million) and many other world class players. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, however, is optimistic about PSG's great start: "We feel that something has changed at the club and this is just the beginning. We want to win every game.

Galtier and Mbappé criticized for their cynical reaction at a press conference

The first hurdle in Europe for this new PSG will be a historic side: Juventus. "I'm really looking forward to playing in this competition and showing what we are capable of," said Christophe Galtier, who will have his second experience in the Champions League.

Kylian Mbappé, 23, is looking to continue to add to his good numbers in the Champions League: 53 appearances, 33 goals and 23 assists. He is also hoping to win his first title in the competition: "I always want to win, but it's very difficult. The European giants have strengthened their ranks”.

‘Ney’ and Mbappé under pressure

Neymar and Mbappé are the biggest investments of the club and since their inception to the team the no. 1 objective has been clear; Champions League glory. Now they have Messi —arguably the best playmaker in the world— behind them and the club has run out of excuses. This year, it is win or bust for PSG in the Champions League.
