The Video Assistant Referee took away a clear opportunity from Real Madrid

On the day before the Derby against Barcelona, Real Madrid must visit Getafe. However, it is not an easy job as Karim Benzema, the team's leader and top scorer, will not be available for the game. That could be a big problem for Los Blancos.

Relying solely on Vinicius, Rodrigo and Valverde could seem dangerous. Although the young attackers are quite good and have appeared in important moments (such as Rodrigo in the Champions League against Manchester City) they simply do not compare to the Frenchman.

But now only Federico Valverde is the one who has taken the spotlight since last month he scored four goals. He replaced Benzema. Although in the game against Getafe so far another unexpected scorer appeared, Militao. And the advantage could have been greater been it not for the VAR.

VAR removes a penalty from Real Madrid

During the first half of the match between Getafe and Real Madrid, VAR had to interfere as Vinicius received a foul inside the area. However, after a VAR review, the referee decided to change his decision because the ball had come out during the play.
