The President of the Superior Sports Council (CSD), Víctor Francos, has already confirmed that the Government will file a complaint against Rubiales for “a very serious offense”. 'The Government's goal is to amplify the complaints we have and submit our own complaint to the TAD (Spanish Administrative Court of Sport). We will evaluate if there is cause to take any action within the CSD's jurisdiction and if that leads to a suspension request.

“We cannot disqualify Mr. Rubiales, we can only suspend him as a last resort,” he clarifies in his statement. Coaches, football players, and entities associated with the football world have quickly taken to social media to react following the non-removal of Luis Rubiales as the president of the Spanish Royal Football Federation."

Iker Casillas was among the earliest to share his view on social media regarding the 'Rubiales case': "It's a disgrace," declared the former Real Madrid goalkeeper emphatically. "We should be spending these 5 days talking about our girls! About the joy they brought to all of us! About boasting of a title we didn't have in women's football but..." Casillas continued in another tweet.

Hector Bellerín and Borja Iglesias, both players of Real Betis Balompié, have also said their opinions. Iglesias was the first to speak out, and shortly after, Bellerín followed with his thoughts saying: "It's a genuine shame what's happening. To represent our country with such vulgarity, distort the victim's statements, and even have the audacity to blame her while turning oneself into a victim for committing an abuse these are actions for which no one should go unpunished".

A few minutes later, the Betis forward took to his social media to express that he won't represent the National Team until a resolution is reached in the 'Rubiales case': "Wearing the Spanish National Team jersey is one of the proudest moments of my career. I'm uncertain if I'll have the chance to return as an option, but I've come to the decision not to rejoin the National Team until significant changes are made and actions like these are held accountable."Iglesias remarked.

What did the president of LaLiga comment about this and what other players post about it?

Javier Tebas, the president of LaLiga, has shared his thoughts via his personal Twitter account regarding the incident: "To me, the discourse from the Federation president, whom I hold no personal resentment, appears detached from reality and, consequently, shows that the consequences of the events that took place cannot be assessed as only serious, but rather as very serious."

Other players like David De Gea, Alexia Putellas, Virgina Torrecilla y Caroline Hansen showed their support to Jenni Hermoso with tweets like: “This is all lies. We all see what really happened” , “My ears are bleeding.” “ This is unacceptable. It's over. With you, colleague.”

Luis Enrique, former Spain National Team coach said very little about the matter: "If I have to speak based on my experience and what I have lived through, I believe that Rubiales' work these years has been exceptional. He has taken the Federation to very high levels of performance. The numbers that support him are there. An outstanding job. Regarding the recent episodes, Rubiales has acknowledged his mistakes, and I don't think I need to give an opinion on that. I repeat, his work has been outstanding," affirmed the spanish coach.
