PSG wanted an obscene amount of money for the French player

It has been revealed that Paris Saint-Germain wanted much more than what they paid for Kylian Mbappe when he arrived at the French monarch's in 2017. This is an incredible figure, and it just goes to show how much PSG values Mbappe. They believe that he is worth every penny and then some. With Madrid now out of the picture, it will be interesting to see where Mbappe ends up next.

Will he stay with PSG for the long haul? Or will he eventually make a move to another club? Only time will tell. In July 2017, Paris Saint-Germain reportedly paid 220 million dollars for then-19-year-old Kylian Mbappé and blocked a deal that would have seen him move to Real Madrid. Ever since Real Madrid's president, Florentino Pérez wanted the French forward, but he wasn't going to pay a fee that would have made Mbappé the second most expensive player in history at the time, behind only Neymar.

With PSG, Mbappé so far has scored 183 goals and has assisted on 83 occasions in all competitions at the club. He has also won Ligue 1 four times with the Parisians and has lifted the Coupe de France trophy on three different occasions. His performances earned him being named the Ligue 1 Player of the Year in the 2018-19 season.

The obscene amount of money

Although in the summer of 2022, PSG and Real Madrid were in talks for the transfer of Mbappe the deal fell through because Mbappe ended up getting a new deal with the french side. Even after that Real Madrid asked for Mbappé's price and the amount set by the Qatari-owned club was about 400 million dollars. Now Mbappé completely regrets staying in Paris and Real's options are completely close, where will he end up?
