It's official. Lionel Messi has a new coach at Inter Miami. Although the Argentine star has not yet joined the training sessions of his new MLS team, Leo already knows who will be in charge of the club. Both already know each other from their respective steps in Barcelona and they will see their faces in the same way again.

Gerardo Martino is the new coach of Inter, who was already at Barça in the 2013-2014 season. The Argentine coach spent only one campaign at the Blaugrana club, where he reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League, lost the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid and LaLiga also got out of hand on the last day against to Atleti.

The Argentine journalist, César Luis Merlo, confirmed that Inter Miami and Gerardo 'Tata' Martino have reached an agreement and will be the new coach of the American team. It should be noted that, if he arrives with a work visa, the intention of the Miami team is for him to take office at the beginning of July.

They were not only together at Barcelona

After his experience in the Catalan team, Martino took over in the Argentine National Team. He was the coach who was in the two finals that the Albiceleste lost against Chile on penalties. In addition, he already had experience in the MLS at the helm of the Atlanta United bench. His last step was for the Mexican National Team in Qatar 2022, with a group stage well below expectations.
