To be the best you need to eat the best, right?

Who would have thought that one of the world's best soccer players would have inspired one of the world's best young strikers to change his diet? Erling Haaland is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a striker for the English club Manchester City and the Norway national team. At only 22 years old, he is already considered one of the best strikers in the world.

And his recent success can partially be attributed to the fact that he changed his diet and began eating cow's heart and liver. Yes, you read that correctly. Cow's heart and liver. While it may sound gross, Haaland says he needs the calories this food gives him. Meaning maybe this diet has helped him become stronger and more explosive on the pitch. But how did he start this diet?

It all started when Erling Haaland heard a story about Cristiano Ronaldo. Patrice Evra, the former Manchester United player, said that he once visited the Portuguese home and the striker only ate chicken and salad. Haaland's father, Alfie, said Erling was so impressed with that story he wanted to imitate the Portuguese legend.

What foods does Haaland eat on his diet?

Haaland's diet is based on eating a lot, a lot of calories. The Norwegian eats almost daily 6000 calories. This means that he consumes a lot of meat, fish, vegetables, and of course, a cow's heart and liver. About his controversial diet, he said: "Other people don't eat this, but I am concerned with taking care of my body. I think eating quality food that is as local as possible is the most important". Would you try this diet?
