Even if Chivas is far from the first spots of Liga MX, and that since he arrived in El Rebaño Sagrado they’ve only won 4 out of the 13 games he’s coached them, Marcelo Michel Leaño is on the radar of an MLS Club that was impressed with his system.

Chivas followers are not happy with El Rebaño’s performance since Amaury Vergara imposed Michel Leaño after firing José Manuel Vucetich for poor results last season, as Chivas look adrift every time they jump on the pitch.

But after Atlanta United visited Mexico for the last days of their preseason and held a game against Chivas and Tapatío players, in which the Guadalajara teams won by a 3-0 score, something that impacted ATL UTD, who now are considering Michel Leaño to take over the first team.

What’s in store for Atlanta United?

Atlanta will receive Sporting Kansas City for the opener game of the 2022 MLS Season on February 27 in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but if Gonzalo Pineda doesn’t have the expected results, the Five Stripes will consider signing Marcelo Michel Leaño.
