Carlos Vela is very near to return to the Liga MX for the first time ever in his professional career. The attacker formed at Chivas left the club in 2006 and never returned to play at his country. After all these years, there is a concrete possibility of him returning, linked to a possible departure from Los Angeles FC.
Vela has signed a contract for the starting season with the MLS side, but it was now reported that it could be the last one. If the Mexican doesn’t obtain the results, he is expecting to with LAFC, he could then leave. The last campaign ended with no titles for the club and Vela doesn’t want that to repeat.
But before the start of the regular season, the forward received a bad notice, as LAFC has loaned his winger Brian Rodríguez, great complement of Vela to Almería Spanish side that plays in the Second Division of that country. The departure means that now the MLS franchise has lost a top-talented player with a bright future.
Brian Rodríguez, the Uruguayan prospect who left LAFC.
If at the end of the season Vela considers that the team is not at a good level, he could then choose not to renew his contract and return to his country at his 31 years old. During his professional career, he has played for Arsenal, Celta de Vigo, UD Salamanca, CA Osasuna, West Bromwich and Real Sociedad, despite Chivas and LAFC.
