Former MLS MVP, Diego Valeri, has expressed his excitement about Carlos Vela's return to the pitch for LAFC. In a recent interview, the Argentine highlighted the Mexican's talent and assured that his presence will be crucial for the team's success in the playoffs.

"I'm so happy to see him playing again and being received by his fans in such a way," Valeri said about Vela's return. The former Argentine player, who shared the field with Vela in MLS, knows firsthand the impact the Mexican can have on a game.

Valeri is convinced that Vela's talent will be the key to LAFC's success in the postseason. "I'm happy to see him step onto the field and the impact Carlos can have at this stage, only football knows, because he's a different player. He's a player who every time he touches the ball, in every action, can invent something, can waste that talent with his left foot, with a dribble, with a pass that unlocks the defense, with a shot, with a goal. Anything can happen," the Argentine stated.

Although Carlos Vela admitted he needs to regain his rhythm after several months of inactivity, Valeri doesn't believe this will be a problem. "He doesn't need to be at his physical peak. Maybe he's affected by the number of months he's been out and is lacking rhythm, but players like him have a natural talent that often makes up for other things, especially at this stage of the tournament in the playoffs where emotions play an important role," explained the former Portland Timbers player.
