Mexico National Team didn’t have many dangerous plays during the first half of the game against USMNT in Estadio Azteca, even if they had the possession of the ball and controlled the pace of the game.

But one of the few options that the Aztec squad had in the first 45 minutes, came from the feet of Jesús Manuel “Tecatito” Corona, one of the fastest players Mexico had on the pitch, although this time he didn’t’ have the aim that usually shows with Sevilla.

His lack of aim has little to do with his talent, rather than with the things he has to do every time he returns to Mexico to play with El Tri, as he’s one of the most known Mexican players and the Mexican Football Federation uses him to do the advertisement of the sponsors.

Why can’t he focus on training?

The fact that he has to use his time recording different TV spots and social media adds, leaves him with less time than his teammates to train, plan the game and even rest, which translates in the mistakes that he makes when the actual game arrives.

But given the multiple contracts that FMF has with the sponsors, it looks almost impossible that Corona will be able to focus solely on training, although to balance the scale, he earns up to $1 million extra per match window, depending on the adds in which he appears.
